It is said that we are made of Stardust. Somehow these particular atoms of the universe came together to form you and me.
As mind-blowing as it sounds, it can’t be a coincidence. I believe a power greater than us exist and it works within us. This is the logic of the universe. Eckhart Tolle once said; ‘You are the universe, expressing itself as human for a little while.’
The choice to have a child of my own, to raise this tiny constellation in the universe tells me that it was always meant to be.
I am but a passing combination of matter put together with intelligence for a tiny blip of time in the history of the universe. However minuscule or insignificant it may seem, I was brought together for a mighty job, the job of raising this unique child who comes with his own purpose.
I am not trying to portray a fantastical or whimsical portrait of my life. What I am saying is that this journey is transitory and we all have a job to do.
After trying and failing to find the right school for my son, I have managed to create a little universe for my child, away from the streamlined path, where I can see him finding himself.
Our Job never was to live his life for him but to help him overcome obstacles one by one with no definite timeline, secure in his family’s love, his own abilities, and trusting those who we bring purposefully into his life.
This was not an easy place to reach nor is the work done. We battled a lot of false promises, unrealistic demands, ridicule, and unsurmountable pressures. But persevere we did and we continue to, because, after all, he is our little speck of universe and we have silently decided that for these few decades that we get to orbit around together, we better make the most of it.
You are the universe expressing itself as human for a little while.Eckhart Tolle
